OT The good thing about putting a stem cell research center in SF is, if you don't like it, you can just leave SF. Something tells me the people who don't like stem cell research probably don't like SF much either. So there you go. Stem Cell research is going strong in Europe so its not like the US could stop this trend even if it wanted to.
