see cnbc today is finally talking about the LBO/greedfest ipo's something I've been railing at for months....still not going to change until the pension funds/insitutions/mutual funds just finally say no to these sort of deals at any price....and yeah PAY is one of these sort of deals too, but all the ipo $$$ went to pay off debt not to the lbo firm---plus they didn't load pay up with huge debt to pay themselves off...there are honest ways to do these deals that benefit the LBO firms that have taken on the risk and should be rewarded when it works out...but we've seen just way too many of these structured horribly for new shareholders, with enormous/outisized paydays for the lbo companies in which the new company is leveraged so heaviy that there's a very real chance 1/3+ of these may file bk in the next 5 years if we hit any kind of decent recession. I've really gotten quite disgusted with the greed at all costs.
