I was making a funny and you should watch the parrot film as it's really quite incredible. The chickens I raised would qualify as free range. My cattle were outside on dirt daily and pastured by night except in the winter. Please don't try and convince me that I was abusing my animals. You take a couple of clips from some poorly run farm and lump us all into the category of animal abusers and that is nonsense and it is what gets my blood pressure rising. As to the intelligence and ability to feel pain well I imagine anything that is alive has an intelligence and can feel pain. But I am the master of my domain and so I'm going to eat the animals that are here for my consumption. You choose not to and that is fine, but I'm not going to change, sorry. And since I know where all of my meat comes from, some of which actually qualifies as organic I know nothing I'm eating has been abused so this whole topic is really a non issue for me.
