I'm always disappointed when I visit a home with few or no books. manymoose, why is that? are books to be 'displayed' on the den walls like a piece of prey which was shot and preserved by the taxidermist? you do realize of course, there are people who purchase old (preferably with some leather) books for decor purposes?? i have donated my books which i've read for YEARS.....i'm not the type of person who goes back and re-reads a book (or view over and over a dvd)....i keep a relatively small library of reference books and some books of poetry, short stories...once i've read a piece of nonfiction, i give it away for someone else to enjoy i don't see putting books on 'display' as though they were notches on a gunbelt, as a testament to literacy... so, save a tree, donate your books
