Unless someone is watching the PC 24x7, someone with a modicum of knowledge can buypass most of the security. It may be as simple as bringing in a hd, opening the case, hooking it up and booting off of it. Then copy away.

Impossible with the thin client approach and hence why it is mandated by the US government for security sensitive jobs.
