I never said you were abusing your animals that I can recall. I did ask questions about how they were cared for. I did say that I think it is harder for people to eat animals when they realize that animals think and feel.

When you talk about your mastery over animals put here for your consumption, you are expressing a particular Christian religious belief. This concept of dominion is not shared by all Christians, some of whom believe that God created animals for us to love and care for, not to eat. Certainly everyone is entitled to their own belief system.

At the same time, factory farming is a relatively new concept. It is very difficult for me to accept that anyone at all would find the way animals are treated in this system to be moral or ethical, even if they generally believed in eating meat. My understanding of Christianity is that there is an element of compassion in it, and I see no compassion at all in factory farming. I think all factory farmers surely must be headed for Hell if there is one, because it is so inhumane.

The photos of factory farming are accurate. If you did a web search, you would find many, many sites, all from different organizations in America and Europe that are campaigning against factory farming. The photos often are taken by disgruntled employees who can no longer handle the cruelty. The figures I use to determine the percentages of animals being factory farmed are usually from agriculture industry sites. Why do you think Europe is in the process of banning factory farming with new legislation? Because it doesn't exist? That makes no sense to me. Of course it exists, and most animals in America are factory farmed. It is nice that yours are not.
