Army Orders One-Day Recruiting Halt

Two points. (1) This tells me that the Army is using a shotgun to fix the recruiter problem. Either they have a very large number of recruiters not following policy or the Army has adopted the "federal civilian government" way of solving problems by way of a 12 gauge.

It would seem that a rifle aimed at the few recruiters who are out of policy might be a more appropriate method of addressing this issue.

(2) OTOH, is the Army brass exerting so much pressure on the recruiters that their "recruiting behavior" has changed? This could explain the shotgun approach to cover top brass butt.

Does anyone know what the payoff to the recruiters is when they meet or exceed goal?

Finally, it is amazing how the culture of this country has changed when I think of people enlisting in the service of their country today versus the Korea and Vietnam era.
