It wasn't flying over the WH, I believe that was the wispy cloud.

Well, for one, I would have an escalating warning system based upon real time threat assessment. I believe that would consist of something like a tambourine that went gets jingled when there's an inkling of something that is wrong. Then I think someone could walk out onto Capitol Hill with one of those bronze gongs and bang it if our best-military-in-the-world still couldn't figure out how to get the plane to turn around.

Finally, maybe one of those loud air raid sirens which would cause people, with their shoes, to take cover in a predesignated foxhole. I certainly wouldn't leave out the press corps as they will get really REALLY mad later on.

The guy couldn't put fuel in his tank. How did he get a pilot's license?

If, after all the warnings, the scrambled jets, the new light system (apparently it's still very confusing for even experience pilots to figure out where the heck everything is on the ground including the no-fly zone) that's being proposed, the plane keeps headed toward a public building? I think it's fair to shoot it down.

The key is: do EVERYTHING that can be done.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't bother to notify Bush either.

Still, I'm not an expert on flying planes around no fly zones but we, the last remaining superpower -burp- in the world, have plenty of those and endless supplies of taxpayer money to waste.
