We're at war. We're running the biggest trade deficits ever. Professional jobs, like surgeons and CFOs, are being outsourced. Medicare/Medicaid is bankrupt. UAL just dumped the majority of its pension liabilities onto an already bankrupt government agency. 200 years of Senate minority tradition is being killed. North Korea may be getting plutonium together to test one of their 6-8 nukes and their missiles may hit Japan or even our West Coast. Iran says pooh-to-you regarding nuclear power while cozying up to Iraq's Islamic Revolutionary government. We may be living in the year of Peak oil production. Ford and GM bonds just went into junk status. Wage growth is the lowest since 1991 and is losing the race against inflation. Stagflation is rearing its ugly head. At the blistering rate it's going, China could be the world's largest economy within 20 years. Oh yeah, we're running budget deficits as far as the eye can see and the Iraq war has no end in sight after 1,600+ combat deaths, 36,000 casualties and $300 billion. Yep, lighten up! You too can sit back and watch the Decline of America.
