What if--you HAD to liquidate the stock to meet a margin call? You would not be able to. in the real world you would be given no credit for such a position--should not be different here. You pays your money and you takes your chances. With speculative issues, it is not safe to assume that halts mean good news. Liquidity is worth something. Let's put a premium on it in the contest as we should in real life.
