Because I like you Tench I am going to tell you how wrong you are.

You story talks about Bush eliminating or severely limiting the right of an engineer who goes in for treatment of a cyst on his thigh and comes out BLINDED FOR LIFE by some drunk doctor or some doctor who is in a hurry to get to his golf game who paralyzes you from the waist down.

You ever hear of a jury? All this bullshit you hear about these cheating bastards who invested in Enron or who are faking being blind?

THEY HAVE TO CONVINCE 12 PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU.

What you have is the administrative branch beating up on the Judicial branch through poisoned media. Balance of powers was put into the constitution for a reason.

One attorney with out mandatory arbitration could have stopped Enron dead in its tracks 5 years ago and people would not have lost 45 billion dollars.

You are right about adding value, so where were you when this country decided to put up sound walls all over this country at a cost of between 25 and 50 Billion dollars.

Do you know how many more doctors we could have graduated? Why is there a law which requires a prescription for Rogaine, afraid someone will grow to much hair? or worse yet, not know they have a history of heat attacks?

Why do you think we have so few doctors when the average income is what, 400,000/year?

The threat that his malpractice premiums go up? When you consider malpractice ONLY pays when you screw up, how much harm do you think they do? Why do insurance companies spend billions a year on advertising and more billions on a permanent staff of lawyers? Too give the money to deserving victims?

And do you consider THAT situation, productive?
