Amy, RE: Isn't that the concern for hightech right now?

I think so. The good news is that if there's growth, the talent will find it. Google pays top dollar for good talent, and smart people go there.

Meanwhile, an artificially induced shortage of doctors by AMA may mean they hire anyone with a pulse that shows up to work.

Where do you see that there's a shortage of doctors? The AMA does in a sense restrict supply of doctors by requiring that you have a medical degree and complete a residency, but beyond that there isn't much of a restriction any more than the bar restricts lawyers. And we've got plenty of lawyers, too.

Physician pay has been pretty stagnant for a long time now. A big reason why is that the med schools have been cranking out doctors regardless of the demand.

But what now?

We've been having that conversation here for the last few days. Where is the talent going to go? The best thing we've come up with is alternative energy. There, you've got the confluence of demand plus a high degree of required intelligence.
