U.S. Atty settles whistleblower suit with Oracle By Heather Wilson SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston said Friday that it has settled a whistleblower lawsuit with Oracle Corp. (ORCL) related to a claim brought by the former vice president of North American sales for Oracle unit Oracle University for $8 million. In the suit, the United States alleged that Oracle submitted false claims for payment for computer training to a number of government agencies from 1997 through 2003. The U.S. Attorney said that the whistleblower in the case will receive $1.58 million of the $8 million total settlement.
