I know this issue has been addressed over on SiIicon Investor, but for the life of me, I can't find the posts that relate directly to my question which relates to sale of The Renaissance Capital Growth 10% stake in TPRO.
From what I read on SI, I got the impression that Renaissance sold their past holdings at a profit but then converted inexpensive warrants into a current substantial holding.
From information off the Bloomberg, as of August 27th, all I can see is a confirmation of their complete sale of all their holdings. I see no mention of warrant conversions.
Do TMex, Skip, Cheryl or any others out there have any clarification on that point.
Since I've made my purchase, I've tried to educate myself by reading as many of the SI posts as possible. The sheer numbers are numbing - but I've been so impressed with the amount of information, news and good humor contained there.
The only thing that troubles me is the amount and timing of some of the insider selling from the Etheridges, Mr. Jenkins and finally Renaissance ....
If, in fact, Renaissance is back in the stock, or if anyone has a good reason why they bailed out, I (and I sure most of this thread) would love to hear, once again, some of the reasons why ... Hoping to stay long based on good solid information and earning's potential.
I really appreciate all of the great work I've read on this and the SI thread ....

Renn lent money to TPRO . TPRO owed money to RENN which RENN took shares rather than money.
RENN sold 1/3 of their holdings and got all their initial money back. What they hold now is sheer profit, at 6 7/16th which they paid a buck a share LOL.. Hence their own stock went up like mad.
They are sheer venture guys who lent 2 mil to TPRO and got back 14 mil !!!!!!!!
Talk about balls.
I wud have done same if I knew ceo and cfo then.
Any way by RENN taking stocks rather than cash TPRO reduced their long term debt by 1/2 and if you consider TPRO due to thei ex chairman who screwed up real bad had debt service charge equal to their quarterly earnings.
Further warrants raised close to 9 million dollars for the company to go ahead and mobilise the Y2K thing.
At the moment only callable 670 K of warrants remaining at 3 1.2 bucks after the stock stayes above 6 3/8 for period of 20 days, of which we have passed 1/2 way mark.
TPRO intends to call these warrants ASAP since it will give them instant 1 1/2 million in cash on top of their current war chest of 1 1/2 mil and revolving credit of 1 1/2 further from their bank.
Its for future acquition or future war money. It is not for daily garbage man or MCI phone bill.
The daily requirement is met by threir current revenue of declared 45 mil for 97, which pays for rent , salary, taxes, debt service, 401 k etc.
Etheridge is the guy who screwd uop TPRO and resigned recently and sold his some 40k shares at 5 1/2 I believe which he paid nada for it. He is gone.
The new CEO John I understand came to the co at 30 K per annum salary plus options.
When I first met him he told me that he was working for a larger company and that they sent him to UK which was not agreeable with his family, kids schools blah blah , but I think in actuality he was not either satisfied with his job or his ex boss screwed him or he was unemployed and he was lean and hungry and took TPRO job not really expecting much (I lived in UK and if you have enogh compensation as an ex-pat its the most wonderful and most
civilised country in the western hemisphere and only an idiot wil refuse. There are many US schools, International Schools as well as host of public schools such as Eaton, Winfield . Also their private schools are not so bad either especialy comparing them to US public schools in the NY city) , then he turned the company around some how real quick and he also saw the y2k possibilities. The long list of their client base was there in spite of ex
ceos screw ups but John saw this and he got on top of it.
And the whole thing clicked. John initiated the acquisitions and enlarged the company. In fact CEO sold 1/2 of his shares at 5 bucks in May . Dumb SOB regrets it now but hey he told us he was hungry and needed the money after all, he got the shares free when it was trading at a buck a piece. Infact now he owns more than before he sold he now owns near 260K including options. Which is less than what Skip owns but 400% more than what I own.
There are ceos and ceos. He came to a dollar a share company and grew it to 5 1/2 to 7 3/4 company in less than a year. He kicked the dumb old man out hired D.Kelsall, a real sharp guy as CFO (They never had one before and Doug owns less than me the TPRO shares or warrants. I am sure it will change soon) and new VP Hagewood and another guy.
So what can I say to you.
Look at the management. These guys are young fresh , new start. wants to make it big.
Denver Rocky mountain high. Sees a new opportunity. Got the s--t together. Hungry. They are flying around like mad when all these airplanes are crashing) Biggest in the peer group. Got the F A C T O RY - F L O O R thing on Y2K ( Did you think of it ? I sure didnt - god are we dumb or what - we could be sitting in their offices with 260 k shares of TPRO LOL )
Do a DD on all y2k , fortunately for me I became aware of y2k almost a year and made a bit of money playing diffrent stocks.
However there is JKANAK ( Dr. Kanak) a good friend of mine who is a tenured professor at the Oakie U, who started to buy y2k cos since 94 such as ddim when it was a dollar company.
He is a good friend and a person with a huge heart due to his genes , profession and being an Oakie, who can tell you bunch of enlightening things on y2k.
Since Mex is just a dumb a-- like his friend dumb rednecksc. See we are both from south LOL
So Biff read what ever you can send em to www.year2000.com guy also Crutten Investment Bank, who organised the recent y2k , keep asking and plugging away.
I sure dit and found out whole bunch of stuff that makes me to believe that this stock is worth 70 bucks a share in long term.
And some of those findings I can not disclose here because of hype laws, sec regs and liabilities but I have to disclose at the risk of my trusted source getting pissed off at me.
Fidelity owns tons of TPRO I am told. They bough tons recently, so has Prudential and Evren Securities. So I feel I am in with good company.

My friend $Bill started the SI board and my friend Bisaboy (AKA Rich Buyer slapped my face to buy it at 3. then I went on rampage to tell all to buy )
So here we are - All of us making a new history !!

We found it and did it on our own..
Think of it as our own JBIL (I wil not use IOM because that stock sucks)

Mex,
you deserve the compliment. you could have kept this stock (and others) a closely held secret to just a select number of people; you could have kept your info regarding the meetings and conferences closely held secrets. You receive no financial gain by sharing your information, in fact, all you receive,on many occasions, are heckles from many people here on line. Doing DD on tpro and others is necessary no matter who does the recommending.
But how would anyone here even know about tpro to do the DD if you had not brought it to everyone's attention?

I ve been rambling more than usual but having gone to bed last night at 2 AM EDT to wake up at 3 to follow Di's funeral till 9AM .
I cried so much as I saw her flashes, William the funeral march . Verdis Requiem, Elton John " English Rose" the Earls speech and my minds thoughts on Queen Mothers and Queen Elizabeths wincing grimaces, Charles'es libido with the old hag.

Then went to play golf all day drinking Cognac and smoking cigars , thinking more about Doti and his Egyptian back ground with English wife in a very class conscious country as a foreigner with money , whos son dated the almost Queen of England, and not just any foreigner but an Arab.
I remember I flew from Athens to London , on the day of the announcemrnt when Grece was accepted in to EEC.
As we were approaching Heathrow a Greek passenger with no English asked BA stweardess what this little white card was ( landing card) . Her response was sarcastic "No you are an European now . You dont need it !!!"
I freaked out and spoke out " Miss I though Greece was the mother of all Europe and Greeks the guardians European heritage agains Berbers and savages east ot Turkiye !!! SInce when did they only become Europeans as of today !!!" I was so pissed and furious. This fat ex Yorkshire secretary cum recent BA stewardess ( They are fattest of all in all European flights)
Or like the time I was flying from Duesseldorf to Milano via Lufthansa, on first class with all businessmen. This Raggae guy with torn T shirt and a boom box comes and sits right next to me. All the Deutche Schweiner Fleisch und Flug Arbeiten ( but beautiful and better legs and blonde, far better than BA) goes crazy like some Harlem mugger landed on your porch.
Me being Mex say hey bud sit and relax. Then I am reading the International Herald Tribune and a small article says Jimmy Cliff, reknowned Raggae man got busted for marijuana in Duesseldorf and was given probation and concert cancelled. Wow so I said right you Jimmy hey yo Cliff LOL

Its like a famous Monk in Korea, his name was Won Hyo. He wanted to be a buddah so bad he set out on a pilgrimage to India in 17th century.
He started from Shilla dynasty now days Busan area and went on his trek to India via now day Manchuris.
He walked and walked for weeks until he was famished. In those days they buried their dead in a stone age tombs like the ones you see in Stonehedge, He crawled in and there he found all these food for the dead so he ate and ate. He fell a sleep but woke up in the middle of the night of thirst. He looked for drinking water every where and not finding it he went out side in to cold stepps. In a pitch dark night he crawled looking foe a water hole
then he found it. Drank the water like the last breath the nectar and went back to the tomb for sleep.
Next day when he woke he thought of the that water so he came up to the surface and found the water after some time of looking.,
There it was the delicious water , a thick puddle of mud in a half rotten human skull, with flesh still attached to it , what was not eaten by the wild dogs of the desert.
Same skull from same grave.
He threw up instantly, and there he realised his Buddahhood.
