Ted, That's why we have laws that clearly define who is protected under equal protection.

You've got this backwards. There is no law clearly defining who or what is protected under equal protection.

Yes, there is..........it states that EVERYONE is protected...not just Christians or Republicans.

The MA Supreme Court just told the legislature to write such a new law, and the federal judge just assumed that the 14th amendment also extends to gay marriage without citing any law defining it that way.

He didn't "assume" anything. See this is how you all get into trouble......you throw around a few weak verbs which are intended to undermine the rulings of judges and make them appear vacuous. At first, you know what's you're doing but after a while, you repeat the verbs so many times that you begin to believe your own spin.

And btw, judges don't always rule in my favor. However, I have found that when their rulings are biased or patently unfair, they are overturned upon appeal. Its one of the best things in the American system of gov't.

So I suggest if you find yourself consistently running counter to the rulings of judges, you might ask yourself where your thinking is faulty instead of blaming the judges. ;~)
