if they do not, the situation will become untenable.... The situation is already out of hand. It will take a few more years before 80+ percent of people in this country get the message (I am not sure whether the extreme nutcases will ever get it). Those who opposed the invasion knew this all along. When Dumbya was walking in his chimp suit and you folks were singing "Mission Accomplished", they told you that the real war had just begun. When Saddam was caught and you guys danced in joy, they told you it wouldn't make any difference. When Iraq attained "sovereignty" and you guys jumped up and down, they told you it wouldn't make any difference. When the elections were held in January and you folks started the song and dance routine again, they told you it wouldn't make any difference.
