Hi Grainne,
I am glad you found it so. I did because on at least these points..
First it is so easy to follow those that want to wage war, (for their leader's agenda, at the expense of the followers, of course) by fear-mongering those weak and lazy minded, etc.. but it's is so hard to find peace, when just a few are p!ssing against the tide of those fearful and lazy minded and their deceitful leaders, the contemporary establishment, I mean.. That takes real courage and heros.. It has happened throughout the ages and eventually the TRUTH surfaces.. but... And then years, maybe a generation later, those "followers of the bad" will embrace "the good" and claim they were all for the "good change"..
But witness fairly recent examples, Gandi, MLK, etc. And in the past, slavery, the massacre of our native peoples, etc. I could NOT IMAGINE these current wingnuts opposing these practices at the time, because that was the CURRENT ACCEPTED way, because that is what they do... And if they say so differently, what a crock a BS, I would say,, and I would be right.... And too take it further in a different direction, I could add National Parks for example WHICH wingnuts seem to embrace NOW.. I could go on and on..
Second, the real peacemakers toil in obscurity, not like the pretenders that spout empty words at whatever level, with no real intention of finding common ground.
Third, our so-called mainstream fourth estate is a joke.. Which the enlightened knew anyway..
"What the Hell is the Matter with Kansas Anyway" (to paraphrase a bit). <g,ng>
