OK. Here is going through paces:

I like to use my own charts as examples.

Island Reversal, as I would call it, is a reversal where there are airgaps on both sides. The gap is a gap between high of a day and low of the next in an uptrend or vice versa in a downtrend. NOT the gap between opening and closing.

Here are some examples:

BBH - one day island (abandoned baby). I had posted this pattern as it was evolving back in October.

EBAY: one-and two-day islands.

ttrader.com\'s%20charts&id=879&d=2

MGA: multi-session island.

ttrader.com\'s%20charts&id=879&d=2

I saw on Bernie Schaeffer's site once an example he posted that looked something like this DNA chart:

I do not buy it as an island reversal.

And there is something like this AFFX with two gaps. I would not call it island reversal either, but rather Vic Sprandeo's 1-2-2B-3 pattern.

As you see, the minor low filled the uptrending gap.

There. I said my piece. If I am wrong someone please correct me. I would not mind.
