It took a successful court fight with the local greenies to get the Strykers. Hawaii's only "haircut" was the closing of a local National Guard facility, which will just be moved to a local military base.

We have had an excellent "shakedown" of the Strykers in Iraq. I read conflicting reports. But the army has so much money in them that they will just modify them to work.

I remember posting before we went into Iraq that it would be nice if we could find some armored cars to use there. We have now modified the Humvees, but we really need a vehicle between the Humvee and the Stryker. Something light, fast, armored, holding two to four soldiers.
