"If we are to avoid economic chaos, we need America to continue to be the #1 country of destination for potential immigrants." Oh, I agree.... But I also believe that there is nothing wrong with trying to get the largest benefits from this process as possible, ie, preferentially admitting the best and the brightest, the richest (job creators) and the young and smart. A brain drain can be a very beneficial thing --- if the 'draining' is headed your way.
