You would think somebody in American media would find this worthy of reporting!!! I am including two typical samples of reporting by the media, all of them missing the crucial point.

The Washington Post received some award for it's world news reporting. But after having lived in England, US reporting on world news is sorely lacking to say the least. We don't publish world news, we publish American news occuring outside of the country. IF we're lucky, as is the case of the Tribune article, it gets a brief passing mention.

Iran has been moderating for quite some time. Understandably their memories of the Shah and US support of the Shah has been in conflict with that moderation. Early in the Bush Administration, Iran was pulsing the US for the beginning of normalizing relations. We responded with go away scum and you're part of the axis of evil. Hard to make friends when you call them evil.

"the Supreme Court, in an unprecedented decision, declared that Iran and the United States were not in a state of hostilities and the differences between Iran and the United States were political differences.

We wouldn't publish that here. They're evil, of course we're in a state of hostilities. The American view is the right view. Trapped by our own indoctrination.
