Christians in the past used Scripture to justify crimes such as slavery and witch hunts; therefore, former bishop Spong deserves the liberty to twist scripture and write a "long overdue" book for liberals to use against religious conservatives. Two wrongs don't make a right. The obvious answer is that a book is less onerous than "slavery" and "witch hunts" (or trying to make the judiciary impotent). But I just posted an interesting article, take it for what it's worth (to you). John
