uacl/recent shipping offerings prompted me to scan thru a lot of similar companies this evening and right now the market does not believe these type companies are going to hit their targets going out a year.....just looking at how ugly these are trading and how 'cheap' they are on future multiples coupled with the long bond refusing to yield much above 4% even with the overnight up to 3% and....this market seems to think a big old slowdown is coming at us in a hurry-----if that's the case, current levels on the indices don't have a shot at holding here near these levels...I'm not remotely smart enough to know if that's coming, but trucking/shipping/rail etc...have broken down big since beginning of april---in and of itself you could say it's just the normal give/take after a nice run to end '04 in these groups but....with the fed waging war on the short end of the curve while the long refuses to budged the combo here a bit frightening. I don't know how you enter this stuff here even though there is every chance this is just a 'scare' and these are great entries across the board on tranny related...I can't do it though, not with these warnings lights flashing.
