I'm basing my assessment on the Post story and the fact that folks I've known working there have been ordinary bureaucrats doing ordinary things. It just happens that they do them at this point in time for a military rather than civilian employer. It's hard for me to think of them and what they do as a "force" needing a whole lot of protection.

Me too.

I have been to some of those buildings. Many of the folks inside are likely pure fat.

Better to eliminate those jobs than move them.
