I heard: Pentagon official gave the story and then retracted it. Since it wasn't multisourced, Newsweek had to retract it. Of course, single-sourcing never causes the WashingtonTimes, the NYPost or FoxFraud from growing a journalistic ethic. Rove was obviously responsible for the Dan Rather memo. Rove is responsible for the retraction. I'm sure we'll hear eventually that the Koran situation wasn't just true, it was officially sanctioned by the Crusading Fake Christians. It fits perfectly into their MO. Heck, the government of Pakistan doesn't believe the Newsweek retraction (at least as of earlier today) and they want an investigation. Dogs, piles of naked men, electric current...what in the world would trashing the Koran be so out of the norm for the torturers of the Bush administration? Their good bud in Uzbekistan boils people alive. Their good bud Saddam Hussein gassed Kurds and mowed down Shites while we watched. Their good buds in Saudi Arabia torture people at our request through rendition. Of course, Rumsfeld/Bush/Rice/Rove/Cheney the Crusading Fake Christians are trashing the Koran. It's too obvious for words.
