Sigh.... I know what you mean Peter... While I'm not thrilled with the idea of NO abortion law at all (The Liberal party head in the sand approach and no I'm not looking for a debate :O)... but pro life movement has too many whackos that would ban it outright which wouldn't fly with me or the majority of Canadians I would imagine... not wise to bring up. Gay marriage ? well I don't see the bruhaha at all.. If the government wanted to force Churches opposed to it to sanction it that would be wrong but I don't see a problem with any Church or civil body sanctioning it if they so choose and civilly it should be sanctioned... if anything it promotes stability in society... and you are right... how in their right minds can they think that opposing these issues as a platform can make a Canadian federal election winable... geesh.... These are issues for a free vote and I can't see a free vote on these issues giving a conservative result in this country... they should be able to extrapolate from that reality I think... regards Kastel
