I didn't know either. I was really shocked. The article is kind of scary- and the research looked good. The article is a very good plug for vegetarianism, not because of morality, but because it would be so much more economical- in terms of eating lower on the food chain- wasting less grain and soy on animals, to make a small amount of meat. The article also suggests we could drink less, which might go over even worse than eating less meat! :-)
