Karen, the ridiculous bias in organizations such as Newsweek were obvious to me nearly 15 years ago. And there are still many people (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary), who "believe" it's still not going on.

I agree, many people do "see what they want to believe".

Dan Rather has lots of fans who still believe he had a scoop, and it's a darn shame the evidence just wasn't there to support it. Pravda probably still has many fans left in Russia who "believe" too. :)

Newsweek probably thought they were being cute and tossing a little light mud toward the administration; instead they did a Rather and got a fistful tossed right back at them by blogs and now the rest of the media. Good riddance, I love freedom of the press when it includes the freedom to point out obviously phony agendas.
