the ridiculous bias in organizations such as Newsweek were obvious to me nearly 15 years ago.

That does not mean that everything written is an example of bias any more than the rain patterns on the Oregon Coast mean that it's raining today or that the overrepresentation of blacks in prison mean that this black defendant is guilty.

All challenges to this particular rush to judgment have been brushed off on the basis that the news organizations are obviously biased, the pat answer to all questions.
