McCain's military record was also smeared by Karl Rove and Bush. Funny you should pretend to back McCain. He is against 75% of the rightwing agenda and can't stand Bush. He might be president in 2008 but he hurt himself badly by endorsing Bush and his war. That will come back to haunt him as it takes away his "straight shooter" myth. Chuck Hagel is a better war hero moderate GOP candidate. He has shown more courage and honesty than McCain. Kerry could very well be president in 2008 though I'm waiting to see what democrat candidates emerge. Warner and Richardson are both comers. The GOP rightwing have no viable candidates now.
