I question that. Seems to me that the report of the findings from Abu Graib is newsworthy. Why would that not be newsworthy?

Even if it had been true, it was very questionable to just drop it on its own, without context, like a little grenade.

And of course, this isn't the first time. Reporting misfires are like getting wrong change in a store. If it happens often, and by some strange mischance the mistake is never in your favor, the benefit of the doubt tends to go by the board quickly.
