What part of a hollowed-out U.S. manufacturing base and unsustainable twin deficits don't you get?

The US manufactures goods with a higher value than India and China combined.

Even when a country does have a widespread absolute advantage and another has a widespread absolute disadvantage, both can benefit by trade. Comparative advantage continues to work even when one side or the other has an absolute advantage.

BWAAHHHAAAAHAAHAHAHAH! What kind of dufus convolution of crackpot tail-chasing doublethink is this? You just succeeded in saying absolutely nothing.

Its basic economics. A country or a region or a company doesn't have to be the best in the world at producing something in order to have a comparative advantage at something.

Take economics 101. If you already have, take it again with a competent professor.
