Interesting. On the one hand Harper is supposed to prevent every caucus member and potential candidate from saying anything off message, or he's a weak leader. OTOH, if he cracks down on a loose cannon, he's authoritarian and ham-fisted. Interesting that he tore a strip off a rational Member of his party for saying there were some good things in the budget, at the same time Harper was agreeing that every bribe Martin offered anybody who could sell a few votes, he would also pay..... The lack of confidence vote still isn't about the budget but about the bribe martin is paying the NDP...... So what exactly was his problem?????? This was just as personal as Martin and Copps, and handled just as poorly...... Only Belinda out played Harper, while Martin outplayed Copps.....
