He didn't prove things forged, as I understand. First of all, British libel laws are extremely strong. Every step must be proved and the truth of the charge is not a defense, as I understand it. From the accounts I heard, he won the case because the paper could only prove the front end of the transaction: the oil money flowing to Galloway and his associate, not the back end, how it was laundered and got to Galloway. As for all the rest, Galloway simply denies everything with a front of brass. He even claims now not to have been a Saddam supporter, a ludicrous claim.
