51 votes with the implicit right to filibuster is the way it has been. I heard someone say that republicans had fillibustered once or twice on a judicial nominee too. Hey Reid is a dope. The constitution isnt at stake here but its spirit is. Reps and Dems should find common ground and settle this like any law suit would be. Did you notice the NYTimes editorial today on this subject. Scathing attack on the two female judges for cal and tx. mike
