Dems want to have some advise and consent input by getting rid of the most ideological judges as they see it. Fillibuster was only weapon they had to use.
If you reverse rolls and say barbara boxer was being nominated to the SCOTUS, do you think republicans wouldnt use filibuster and do you think that you would be on the side you are on now. It all depends on whose ox is being gored. Thats my only point here and i bet you in such a case you would be arguing for the filibuster. Hell the liberal dems, champions of the poor and downtrodden are using the hated filibuster that helped keep blacks in their second class citizen role for so long. mike
