This war, we're just taking the most patriotic, and we're putting it on the federal credit card. No coffins on TV, no closeup's of people getting blown to bits. To the average citizen (Tench), it appears to cost nothing.

To the average citizen it is costing nothing. Even the $$ expense will fall to their children. It's like bush said in response to how history would judge his actions... years from now? it won't matter...we'll be dead
