Its time to pack it in and bring them home.

When Bin Laden declared war on the United States, he claimed that winning such a war would be easy citing the quick U.S. exit from Somalia after taking a few casualties. Bin Laden was emboldened. I think cutting and running will only embolden terrorists. They will say, terrorism works and guerilla warfare works.


This is why you pick your wars carefully. Cutting and running is now our only reasonable alternative. Unfortunately, there is a price to be paid albeit a lesser one than if we stay. This is what happens when incompetency and ideology get some power.

Let's be smart and learn from history's lessons. Vietnam is an excellent example. Why wait ten years when you can do it now?
