Re: The think tanks realize that an attack on Iran would not be tolerated in Europe...
LOL... Frankly, who in the US and Israel really cares about what Europe tolerates or not???? Besides, which Europe are you hinting at --the "Old" one or the "New" one? Of course, the election of Mgr Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI is a setback for the most rabid Judeofascists --Mgr Lustiger, an avowed friend of Israel, would have been their perfect match... However, Ratzinger is a conservative nonetheless, that is, closer to Germany's Christian Democrats (Stoiber and co) who oppose Schroeder's policy.
Openly, to be sure, even pro-US European countries --such as Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, actually most of Eastern Europe-- claim they seek a peaceful solution, if only because they don't want to be hit with another "Madrid" (like Spain in March '04). Yet, Europe too harbors an influential, growing, Judeofascist lobby that resents the rise of any Muslim power....
Re: ...and would be heavily protested in the U.S.A.
ROFL! Oh, that clinches it!! LOL again! Don't worry about that, the media-military complex will handle it... if necessary, by pulling off yet another 911-like terror attack.
