I don't know what a "true conservative" is. Really. But I am probably not one.

Re: homosexuality. I don't care if you're gay and I don't want to talk about it.

Re: gay marriage. See above.

Re: abortion. Shouldn't be a Constitutional "right." Otherwise, leave it to the states to decide.

Re: environment. If you could figure out a way to keep pollution on your property and not affect me, fine, but you can't, so stop it. And those snail darters don't belong to you.

Re: welfare. Make it private. No corporate welfare, either. No farm subsidies, either. No art subsidies, either. And while you're at it, get rid of the FCC.

Re: Ten Commandments. Display them in church, not on public property, nor in public schools.

Re: public schools. I'm for them. Educating the young is at least as important a governmental function as waging war or building highways (and I support public highways, too.) (Also public parks.)
