History is replete with Presidents recruited from the ranks of General. Ike, Grant. The difference is these guys are not war heroes, nor were they distinguished with the rank of General. At least McCain was Colonel, Kerry was only a lieutenant who found the Catch-22 and used it.

Remember when the DemoLib media calle dChristine Todd Whitman the rising Republican star for her stand for abortion? Then she was ravaged by the DemoLib media for accepting a Cabinet post in the Bush administration.
