Bill, what the article seems to be saying, is that it might be awhile until the trials are over,and there might be a third generation xDSL before ny major installations. The other thing is COMS has xDSL,Frame Relay and ATM in one modem,one set of DSLAM equipment,an all around solution. It seems the companies that have Frame Relay for voice,ATM for the backbone,and xDSL for the last mile,in one solution will be the winners. I also believe that video will be over VDSL,not ADSL,not enough bandwidth,for more than one or two channels. Hiram |
