The filibuster plan. Is this true? 1. Reps can't get rid of the fillibuster entirely because they need 60 votes to change the rules? 2. Since Cheney is the President of the Senate, he can suspend the filibuster for THIS SESSION ONLY? 3. Rehnquist resigns, O'Connor resigns, Clarence Thomas (OMG THE END OF THE REPUBLIC) porn lover and sexual harasser becomes chief justice and another extreme rightwing 40ish loyalist gets on. 4. In future session, even if the Dems win a majority, the fillibuster is still useable by...REPUBLICANS. If Dems object, Republicans will say nyah nyah nyah 5. Is this the entire nefarious plan? It's even more confusing than it was when Frist, the HCA baby, started lying about it.
