Larry, Hi!! RE: Here's a guy who had the same vision as Michael Dell but could not execute his strategy. Well, one could debate why one succeeded and one fails...Alan (TP) made a great point...Drawing people to SD was not exactly the easiest task...Yet, I would argue that there was something about having the opportunity to work for DELL that was special... Quickly here: The first trip down to Austin in 98 Drew and I were on a plane with three different individuals who were leaving the Chicago area for interviews...DELL had asked them to come down...All three had already been quite successful...What was interesting was that two of them expressed a sole reason for seeking employment with DELL purely because they believed that DELL was set to take over the hardware business...Now, I know this may seem vague and possibly trivial...But, I'm quite sure that the technology folks that were already working in the Austin area knew that Round Rock was being developed for a good reason...The confidence that DELL had in developing the massive acreage out there was most impressive...Upon viewing it I kept buying for a year...DELL obviously knew they'd find folks to work there...and let's face it...The stock options didn't hurt... :o) Best, Kemble
