They pretend to offer something, but if they really did offer something that worked for say poor minorities, guess what? They are no longer poor minorities and have no reason to vote for the Dems right? The Dems pretend to help people, while making sure they don't really. The Johnson great society is a perfect example. Handing out checks to people would seem to help people, but instead it just get them addicted to receiving their next check. The checks don't help them develop a work ethic, improve their knowledge and skills, get up for work, develop social skills to interact with people at work and customers or clients.
