Hi Dennis,

The Gasline Port Authority has been running lots of those ads for the Valdez LNG proposal on local TV here. Personally, I prefer the long land route down to the Midwest. We already had one catastrophe in Prince William Sound, and I'm not thrilled about the added danger of LNG facilities and tankers. Why put an LNG facility into a major earthquake zone?

BTW, we are running out of gas in the Anchorage area so new supplies must be found in four years. Right now we ship some gas out of state as LNG, but in four years we could be turning the boats around and shipping LNG back in! Meanwhile our gas bills are going up, and the Agrium fertilizer plant is set to close in the fall.
