Warner and Byrd, whatever their failings, are two old war horses who love and respect their institution and this country. Since when did "I agree with them" become "they love this country"? It's not like you to stoop to such transparent rhetorical devices. We all love this country, every one of us, otherwise we wouldn't put so much time and energy into talking about what we, each and individually, think is best. Warner is headed out to pasture (not a moment too soon) and wants to continue to hang out with the Beautiful People in Horse Country. Lots of filthy rich liberals in Horse Country. Lots of filthy rich conservatives, too, but that's not his crowd.
