Do you have a test pattern for every path in the chip? How much time it would take to develop such test, debug it, and correlate with output?

You didn't read the assignment I gave you or you'd know the answer. Like I said, Your understanding is 10 years out of date. The overwhelming number of possible speed paths are covered far better than the old techniques you describe. You obviously don't know how it's done or you wouldn't be making this dumb argument. Most of it is public domain and tools are commercially available. Some is Intel intellectual property and I'm not going to go into it here. Go do your homework.

What are your qualifications to offer such ill informed criticism? Why should any person reading this thread pay any attention to you? Your position seems to be that a self proclaimed "screwdriver type" reading an out of date web article knows more about the aspects of defect testing, while the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer who tests over 1.1 billion units per year is clueless to what is so clear to you.

Listen, you are not the one who receives daily status upgrade on Intel's yield with improvement analysis details, right?

Wrong. I've developed test capability for Intel, including some members of the x86 family. I know what I'm talking about and clearly you don't.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?
