Bush opening up maximum amount of public lands for development. In these cases the private industry company (usually sending fat contributions to the GOP) gets mining or timber or development rights to OUR land for next to nothing. Thus is left over from the Wild West days when the government WANTED as much wilderness as possible developed. But now it's just a pork barrel giveaway. Bush wants to give away as much as possible. He never ever denies the exploiters of the environment anything they ask for.
