energyplay, Re: "more area in the thermodynamic loop" of the PV diagram. Agreed. Increased combustion chamber temp will raise efficiency as the amount of work extracted from the working fluid is proportional to the ratio of the combustion temp and the exhaust temp.

I was wrong about the max 59.3% number. That is the maximum percentage of energy that can be extracted from the wind by an open (unshrouded) wind turbine. After all these years these numbers kinda run together. <g>
